Decide on the degree and institution that might fit your educational goals most. You also want to make sure it's in a subject matter you're interested in doing some more research in, not just because it's cheap/easy/fast...

Oh, this is my chance for a public service announcement that all schools mentioned in this discussion, plus some others, are now the doctoral studies page on the wiki: https://degreeforum.miraheze.org/wiki/Doctoral_studies
LIGS is listed in the Unaccredited or Ambiguous Accreditation section (scroll to the bottom).
Programs in other sections may be moved into the Unaccredited or Ambiguous Accreditation section if no one confirms that they are accredited.

Nice list , you can add University of Lynchburg one year doctor of executive leadership to the list and Liberty University various doctoral programs . Also Middle Georgia State University offers a Doctor of science in IT.
Honorable mention penn state university EdD program although it requires a one week residency if I’m not mistaken

Anyone can add to the wiki page. There are at least a couple of contributors so far.

They're based in Hawai'i. They're accredited by ASIC, but not by any federally recognized accreditor. As a degree nerd I was curious about them, so I went by their office last time I was in Honolulu, but they were closed.

Sounds like you have a good excuse to go back to Hawaii.

It doesn't take much encouragement! Family responsibilities tie me to the DC area for the moment, but I have a house near Hilo and plan to retire there.

Hello, im pretty new here and recently decided to do a DBA online with max cost of 20k. I realized that I need a DBA not in the US, as I want an accredited university but not the standard 3.0 gpa requirement to graduate. Any universities or institutions people know of?

Isn't ASIC international accreditation (as opposed to schools they credit in the US) more of a quality assurance thing than what we would consider academic accreditation in the United States? E.g., another ASIC-internationall-accredited organization, Effective, says that its degrees/diplomas/certificates/whatever-you-want-to-call-them are not academic degrees but are for professional training and continuing education.
