I'm considering getting a super cheap degree on my works dime from Penn Foster, do you know if a completed degree (AS Construction Technology) would be transferable? I'm thinking of doing as much as it at Sophia from generals from Penn Foster so then I'm only out the electives if it doesn't transfer, but it would be ideal to me if I could get 30 credit hours towards a BLS in MIS/Project Management with it.

They have evaluated classes from Penn Foster (Arizona) according to the UMPI transfer database, so definitely worth sending the transcript. For the most part, courses transferred in as lower-level electives, but some classes are specific classes.
Examples:
BUS 140 Organizational Behavior 3.00 --> BUS 335 Organizational Behavior 3.00
BUS 213 Business Law 1 3.00 --> BUS 350 Business Law I 3.00
BUS 214 Business Law 2 3.00 --> BUS 352 Business Law II 3.00
BUS 315 LEGAL ENVIRONMENT OF BUSINESS 3.00 --> BUS 353 Business Ethics 3.00
BUS 340 ORGANIZATIONAL BEHAVIOR 3.00 --> BUS 335 Organizational Behavior 3.00
BUS 350 Supervision and Leadership 3.00 --> BUS 260 Leadership 3.00
Completed: HAU MBA | BA Economics (US) | Finland Open Studies @ XAMK/Metropolia/Helsinki/Laurea
Certs Completed: Scrum CSPO/CSM | Google PM/Data Analytics/Marketing

They should be able to take the associates and the credits you have, you'll best be prepared by completing the max transfer credits available using the Study.com College Starter plan at $95/month or the Sophia.org monthly membership at $99/month, to finish off your general education and electives. Then complete the final 30 residency credits at UMPI to finish off the degree requirements...

What is the coursework at UMPI like? Is it like WGU where it is very test heavy, or more assignments/writing based?

UMPI is all assessments and assignments that are writing based, most people would like this option over WGU and their proctoring... Depending on which remaining classes you have, you can do minors that interest you that aren't part of the Your Pace program as long as you can transfer the most into the program. We've had people complete entire minors through transfer credit, along with other minors that aren't on the Your Pace platform yet. The key if you're doing the BLS with a minor of your choice, is to max the credits before you enroll, so you know where you stand.

There are no exams at UMPI. All of the assignments are papers, Excel projects, PowerPoints, etc. They're all written assignments.

Thank you both for your quick responses! I definetly like the sound of the format of UMPI versus WGU. I do have tuition reimbursement available. How fast is it to do UMPI courses vs. Study.com/Sophia given that my tuition would be covered?

That's very subjective, your speed depends on how quickly you get things done and the amount of time you have dedicated to your studies. We don't know how fast you did your Sophia.org or your Study.com classes to gauge how well you'll do the classes at UMPI. Here are examples, some people have finished 10 classes in 1 session to finish off their degree, most of the people will take 2 sessions, when I did my session at UMPI, I took 7 out of 10 within my first session... You'll get similar results, it also depends on the classes you take, so many variables. Since you've not done the addendum or template, I would guess it will take you 2 sessions at most if you have the energy, time to get this done in an orderly fashion.
