Does Excelsior College consider the CLEP Information Systems & Computer Applications and the DSST Introduction to Computing to be duplicate credits of each other?
(I am considering taking these and DSST Management Information Systems, since I read that they build on each other.)
Thanks for the help!
Update: The answer is they do NOT duplicate in the Liberal Studies program.

I believe so. The Excelsior business catalog lists them both as fulfilling the same core requirement.
In my experience, DANTES MIS doesn't have a whole lot of overlap with the CLEP computer test, so I wouldn't worry about having to take them close together. Neither test goes far beyond the very basics of computers, and both are very doable. If you need more computer creds, you may need to do an ECE. Wish you the best!

Thank you for the responses. That would be great news, if these are all given credit.
Michael (Barcotta) - I was looking at your transcript again; it looks like the DSSTs were given grades (but aren't anymore). Am I reading it right - did you get credit for all three for your degree at Excelsior College?
Update: The answer is they do NOT duplicate in the Liberal Studies program.
