EC upper level history
#1
Hi! I'm looking for ideas for alternative upper level American history to fulfill my 2 class requirements for EC. Does anyone have any ideas beyond the usual Civil War, Civil rights, Woman in America, African American, American Indian? Hoping for American Revolution, war of 1812, something different.

University of Idaho has 2 400-level courses: https://www.uidaho.edu/academics/online-...se/history Idaho and the Pacific Northwest, History of the American West.

LSU has Louisiana History: http://reg.outreach.lsu.edu/modules/shop...ID=3960446

MS State has History of US Popular Culture, History of US Transportation: http://www.catalog.msstate.edu/undergrad...oursestext Don't know if either of these will work.

University of North Dakota has American West: https://und.edu/academics/online/index.h...ct=History

Western New Mexico University has a number of interesting-looking courses: https://fuse.wnmu.edu/webtm/sched.jsp?ut...down-menus (not self-paced, so you'd probably need to wait for spring)

York College (https://online.york.edu/) APPEARS to POSSIBLY have "The Early National Period" https://s3-us-west-2.amazonaws.com/asset...at1920.pdf (page 97 & 98 for history), includes war of 1812. Or The American Frontier. Availablity of courses is confusing. It's unclear if they actually admit non-degree-seeking students.
In progress:
TESU - BA Computer Science; BSBA CIS; ASNSM Math & CS; ASBA

Completed:
Pierpont - AAS BOG
Sophia (so many), The Institutes (old), Study.com (5 courses)
ASU: Human Origins, Astronomy, Intro Health & Wellness, Western Civilization, Computer Appls & Info Technology, Intro Programming
Strayer: CIS175, CIS111, WRK100, MAT210

Since EC makes it very affordable to make the switch from the Mutli-Source Option to the EC option, I think you should consider it.

The cost for a degree at EC is about $5300 for Mutli-Source (bringing in 113cr), or $5850 for the EC option - which includes taking 2 courses there in addition to the Info Lit, Cornerstone & Capstone courses. You're basically getting 6 extra credits for $850. That's a lot of bang for your buck! (this happens because their tuition goes down $100/cr and you no longer have to pay for the $1095 Enrollment fee).

Here are their UL History courses:
HIS322 Revolutionary America
HIS325 African American History
HIS326 A History of Women in America
HIS335 United States Civil War
HIS350 World War I
HIS353 Holocaust
HIS354 Transatlantic Slave Trade
HIS356 The Global Cold War

Thanks! I am doing that option! I just need to find a few more classes to transfer in. Thankfully the 4 I'm taking with EC will all be UL!

And I think that you can opt to take your cornerstone as UL as well.

Yes, the Cornerstone will be UL if you transfer in 60+ credits:

"The Cornerstone course must be taken at Excelsior College and cannot be transferred in.
Students with fewer than 60 prior transfer credits on their initial evaluation will be approved to take IND101 Cornerstone A: Foundations. Students with more than 60 prior transfer credits will be approved for IND301 Cornerstone B: Pathways.
Students will take either IND101 or IND301 and may not receive credit for both."
