NCCU for music studies

Hi...

This is not about one of the big 3, but I figured this might be of interest to some people here. I am getting a music degree from TESC, and honestly its kind of hard. I guess this is not one of their usual degree options so they are not used to work with courses in this area. I am going to take some classes with NCCU (North Carolina Central University). In talking about which courses I can take, the head of the music department asked whether I might be interested in finishing my degree through them. I just said something about having about one year of classes left and I didnt think that may credits would transfer in so that probably wouldnt work for me. However, he said he thought they probably could take everything I had so far. I sent him a list of all the credits I have with unofficial transcripts. He wrote back that yes, he thought they could transfer in everything and I could finish my music degree (music production/industry) with them in two semesters. Unfortunately because of how my next year is I can stay in NC for the second semester and so will have to finish with TESC anyway. This was such a nice surprise to me though that I thought some others out here might like to hear about it. I cant say anything about how easy to work with the other departments will be, but NCCU overall has seemed to me to be eager to help and work around things to give me what I need. (and btw... in state tuition is unbeatable)! eeya:
