Even without FEMA, a BA in Liberal Studies at TESC is still cheap!
#1
I couldn't get the cost for the BA below the $4050 one would spend at University of the People, but I still got it down to around $4130. The BSBA should still be comfortably under $4000. I'll post that plan in a little while. Again, this degree plan can be made cheaper by earning 12 credits on language CLEPs and/or completing several Straighterline courses in one month.

$80 more for a regionally accredited degree? Sounds like a winner!

I'm defiant. I wonder if TESC sees these threads and gets pissed off. I know they know about this forum because they responded to the thread about their new PLA system.

Excellent thread. I will definitely be looking forward to your BSBA post since that's the path I decided to go down. I just started and completed my first CLEP, Principles of Management. I am studying for the Principles of Marketing now.

Hello, I am also going for a bachelor in liberal arts at TESC. Can you post your degree plan? I am having a hard time with my advisor at TESC getting back to me with what DSST and CLEP'S I can take. Thanks

I haven't made a plan for liberal studies, but this should help you. It's hard to tell what all they will accept for some of their new general education requirements (intellectual and practical skills, diversity/global literacy, and responsible ethical leadership), so some of the things I listed are speculative. For the area of study, all you have to do is choose anything that's humanities, social science, mathematics, or natural science. Make sure you don't have more than 6 credits that are at the 100-level; and, make sure you have at least 15 UL credits to go with the capstone for a total of 15. You need at least broad areas of study (e.g. social science and natural science) in the area of study.

Defiance is kind of the point....we're renegade learners!

I HOPE TESC gets pissed off....To me, too many leaders in academia seem to hold higher education (or any education) as a privilege, not a right.

Subtract $121 because students under the Per Credit Tuition Plan do NOT have to pay the technology service fee!
