Well, the school is the newest campus of the University of Illinois system and is regionally and AACSB accredited. Tuition for the spring semester was $283.25 a credit hour, each class in the MIS program is 4 credit hours, with 44 hours required to complete the degree. Fees were an additional $200-250 for the 2 classes I'm taking this semester, MIS 502 Tech Foundations of Info Systems and MIS 573 Project Management.
I've been thoroughly impressed with the program so far, the workload is heavy with each class requiring weekly: reading at least 1 chapter, an online quiz, and discussion board interaction. Either weekly or bi-weekly a detailed review (what you've learned / think) of the material you've covered is due. Both classes have group projects, and the mid-term and final are closed book / proctored. My classmates are knowledgable and focused with some having an IT background, and some wanting to make the jump to IT.
The program has either a thesis option or a project / capstone option, I'll be honest, I haven't that much about that yet, just trying to complete the weekly workload with my other responsibilities.
Is there anything else anybody would like to know about?
