Hello all, I'm interested in taking Bus 495 in May, but I don't have *any* of the business core requirements done. Still, I wanted to enroll anyways so that I wouldn't have to wait until July and have my graduation delayed. Does anyone know how strict Excelsior is about this sort of thing?

Welcome to the forum. For that course I am pretty sure they would say no. I have had them approve courses when I am almost done with the prereq.
Sounds like you plan to be pretty busy between now and July?

Thank you for the welcome and for that info. Ah well, if that is the case then I guess I will have to wait a bit longer.
Yes, by virtue of being out of work, I've got a fair bit of time to spare and I decided to focus on getting a degree rather than a job search. I'm hoping I'll have brighter prospects if I can graduate.

What did you think of Social Science Research? I almost took it, but found out that it would dup credits I'm hoping to snag via my GRE Psych. If I don't score what I need, I still might have to take it.
Allow me to introduce myself. My name is Wile E. Coyote, genius. I am not selling anything nor am I working my way through college, so let's get down to basics: you are a rabbit and I am going to eat you for supper. Now don't try to get away, I am more muscular, more cunning, faster and larger than you are, and I am a genius, while you could hardly pass the entrance examinations to kindergarten, so I'll give you the customary two minutes to say your prayers.

No. Just like any other excelsior course you have to write a term paper of 2000 words. It is really just like any other Excelsior course just they are trying to teach you concepts of research.
EDIT: Also the course for me was 15 weeks long so several of weeks are spent just doing some discussion board (which we all know is quite easy). I normally wait until the last minute on Sunday to do my assignments and I still got an "A" in the class.

I was about four pre-reqs shy before I took that class. I just told them that I intended to have the credits completed before the class started.
Which was mostly true. I had the best of intentions at the time.
