Hello,
I'm new here, and I am trying my best to study for the Financial Accounting CLEP. I'm currently in a graduate certificate program and would like to take this exam sometime during the summer since I have a break before my classes start in the fall. Reason I went the grad certificate route is so that I can forcefully fight for a GMAT waiver at the school I'm at. I finished the semester with As in both of my courses. Also, I'm wanting to avoid taking a bridge course that would require accounting and finance and I figure the Accounting CLEP with a minimum of 50 will get me out of that (my school accepts it for their undergraduate courses: I checked.)
I am a IC paying member, and the questions seem good enough, but this subject is putting me to sleep. In addition to this, I also am utilizing the principlesofaccounting.com site AND bought Accounting Demystified. This is a subject I know I'd do well in with a professor, but I'm capable of self-study as well (I'm a WGU graduate and the grad school I'm at now was in distance learning format...but I might have to do face-to-face if I go for the MBA at my school.)
I've done some searching on this site and I saw the suggestion for taking the LSU course. I really don't like their format, and I didn't want to drive an hour away for their nearest proctor (as well as start up a new proctor at a closer site.) I was wondering for those who have taken this CLEP if they can help me out with some tips to really buckle down with studying. I'd like to take this by June, but no later than July. Any help you can give me to successfully pass this CLEP would be most appreciated.
