Finishing as much of my bachelors as possible
#1
Hi There,
I am currently a biology major at the University of Utah. I am somewhat along the path for my degree, but I am wondering if I can't speed it along with some supplemental test credits. has anyone used anything on the forum to help them finish a more traditional bachelor's? Any guidance would be appreciated. Here is a link to my coursework worksheet https://www.biology.utah.edu/pdf/undergr...ksheet.pdf. I have yet to complete physics 1 or 2, organic chem, all of bio core except intro to bio and cell bio, and all my upper division. Please let me know if there is any other information that would be useful, can't wait to start getting ahead!

Unfortunately, CLEP tests only cover 100/200 level courses- usually your first 60 credits and almost never labs. The best efficiency is using them traditionally is using them to cover as many gen eds as your college allows. Once you get into your major, you're pretty much stuck. Now, there are other tests besides CLEP, I'll spend a minute and see if I can find out if your college accepts others, but you'll have to confirm with your advisor. EVEN IF you could use exams at this point, almost none would let you apply them to your major.

Here is a link to your college's accepted exam page: Testing for Credit - Testing Center - The University of Utah

You can challenge courses within your major if you're up for that. Otherwise, they accept only 14 CLEP exams. I can't tell if you need them because your advising sheet is blank. banghead
