I have been searching and searching. I have some free time before school starts and wanted to take a HR certificate program to build my resume but everything I see is $1500 and up. Does anyone know of something else that us reputable with lower cost?

This is about 4.5 years old but will apply to your situation, there are a few options I mentioned in this post, you can determine if the cost is worth it, dfrecore provided some cost and updated details as well, if the cost of the exams haven't changed, these are great options to have AFTER your degree: https://www.degreeforum.net/mybb/Thread-...#pid243817

These are a few of the freebies, I would work on them first before you work on the one I mentioned that is "after" the degree. Even though these aren't for credit, it'll help you gain some knowledge in the HR subject area. I would take the time to finish your UMPI degree then work on the freebies and ladder up to the SHRM...
