It's either merge the 3 colleges or close them all. The system is in real trouble and has been for years. Vermont isn't known for a robust young population.

And one of those three is 'Northern Vermont University' which was formed in 2018 when two of VT's colleges merged (Johnson State College and Lyndon State College)
