Cool, just delete the whole thread then
"Go check reddit" was not what this place used to be for but I see things have changed

I repeatedly encouraged discussion here. Student loans are within DegreeForum's scope, but each forum may have insight the other doesn't.

The query involves maximizing variables – more credits specifically through coursework to meet the threshold to attain financial aid, more semesters enrolled, more money borrowed – most DegreeForum queries want to minimize.
It's like coming to a weight-loss forum for advice about bulking up. There are legitimate reasons to bulk up and I expect you have one. I'd like to help and we may have some transferable knowledge. But it is an outside-the-box query here.

My personal experience was with a private loan. I didn't have to bother with a FAFSA. I just asked for the amount I wanted, and they verified that I was enrolled full time. The finance department at the school mailed me a check for the overage. Best of luck!

Discouraging you from going further into debt is financially responsible advice and the exact advice I would give you. Most of the people here want to hack degrees in both time and money. I believe you are only thinking about this idea in one direction while there is a second one; why not ask how to complete degrees as cost effectively as possible? You may get new ideas you have not read before. Also why not ask for advice on how to live as frugally as possible? For instance it is possible to buy food for around
$11 a week at Walmart. There is really a ton of additional advice that can be given that can achieve the same outcome but via a different path that you may not have considered.

You guys: "Don't get a hot dog. Hot dogs are terrible. You want a hamburger anyway. It would be better if you made hot dogs at home. Hot dogs cost money you know!"
It might be cool if just one person could answer the question that I actually asked but no problem. I've only been posting here 8 years, maybe one day
Common things being common, I would think talking with the financial aid department would be a good start.
But hey, I know this requires a high level of thinking expected of a college student...probably.
You've been here 8 years, and this didn't cross your mind? Literally every single COL loan I have received has been approved by the Financial Aid Department.

I did it, but I don't recommended it. I went to a fancy private school with a big scholarship and worked part time and I still graduated with 50k on student loans. I didn't know that I would make more money working at Starbucks than working in the entertainment industry.
