We will probably go for BSBA . Daughter doesn't have all the transfer credits yet. Our plan is: apply before April 30 (because of CC month and special offer),  May-July finish Sophia courses, September start UoPeople courses.
But if we apply now, can we transfer in our transcript later? And is it possible to keep transferring credits (and trying whether they accept them) during her UoPeople courses?
You can start and transfer at any time.  20 Sophia courses are free all year long, so that shouldn’t be an issue. I personally find it better to transfer everything in, then start, so there is no BS with the pathway.  It’s a nightmare.

Quote:you may want to use UoPeople in the headline for the thread as well. They do alot of social media marketing referring to the school under that name, as opposed to University of the People.

Oh, I didn't know that the University of the people is also hiding its own name.
Very strange. And very funny Big Grin

It’s the abbreviation they go by, just like thousands of other colleges and universities.

No, other colleges don't tell you to "write uopeople instead of university of the people". You can write whatever you want, instead.
This is the only diploma mill that is ashamed of its own name.

They're not, because UMass or whoever else will never say that "you should write UMass instead of University of Massachusetts". You can write whatever you want, because they couldn't care less.
On the other hand, the University of the people (with its spamm… Er "ambassadors") is the only website in the world that makes itself ridiculous with such absurd behavior.

Their marketing is generally UoPeople. Why are you getting mental over it? Who cares.  I mentioned it to the mods. You’re still talking about it.  They aren’t hiding anything. I’m getting ads every day for UMPI, UMass, WGU…all abbreviations of full university names. But “UoPeople” is “hiding their name?” ?

Hey guys I'm almost done with my BS degree in Finance from TESU. I was wondering, could I transfer those credits to a MBA Business Administration at UoP and does sophia credits transfer since its lower and not upper class? Thanks

Congratulations in advance!

The credits in your bachelor's are undergraduate credits. Undergraduate credits never transfer to a graduate program, with rare exceptions not involved here.

You use your bachelor's degree to apply for a graduate program, then you start a new academic career as a graduate student earning graduate credits.

There is almost no alternative credit like Sophia used at the graduate level itself. But having Sophia credits in your bachelor's degree is unlikely to be an impediment to your graduate school application, and certainly not at UoP.

I always wondered why Thomas Edison State University started referring to themselves as TESU

what were they trying to hide  ?

the fact that they were NOT founded by Thomas Edison ???

wow, have deceptive can they be

somebody must have called them out for trying to insinuate that they are associated with Thomas Edison

good for whomever called them out on it
