There is a discount on Sophia courses for members of the Airline Pilots Association who attend TESU. I am not a member of the association,but was able to get one of the codes to work. The code ALPA is supposed to allow you to get a Sophia class for $99, but didn't work. However, that is not so bad because ALPASUCCESS is supposed to get you 5 courses for $450 ($90/course), but I only had 1 course in my cart and it brought that course down to $90. I am thinking that the code may also work for non-TESU students too, especially if they sign up for Sophia via the TESU site. But $90 per course makes them very competitive now, pricewise.

The TESU/Sophia course Introduction to Information Technology transfers into TESU as Computer Science CIS-110. That combination makes me laugh, but I don't see that class anywhere else. For $90, I think that it is a good buy.

Yep, that is the only place to get that particular course too I believe.

I just created a second account to use the University of Phoenix Sophia site for the free fundamentals courses. Leery of making a 3rd one for these but I want this discount bad. I like the Sophia format.

Unable to get either ALPASUCCESS or ALPA to work on 1-5 courses. Does anyone know if I need to create a new account? Our current account has already taken advantage of the 2 freebies.

If your existing account was not opened through the TESU Sophia page, it requires a new account.
