Anyone taken ALEKS Accounting courses?
#1
If so, how difficult are they? I have to take Principles of Accounting and Managerial Accounting credits for a TESC BSBA. I'm thinking I need to take these as actual courses, but I'm curious (a) how tough the ALEKS courses are, and (b) if they are accepted for the TESC requirements.

Thanks!

I found both Accounting I and II difficult, but I also really dislike the subject matter and struggled through even basic concepts. SL is challenging, but not impossible. Make sure you have the recommended text as you will need to read the book and learn what's in it. Some test questions come directly from the book.

Hope this helps

Hi dcan,

Unfortunately Aleks accounting products are not ACE approved for credit. SL was not bad. It for me was tedious as all SL courses are. You can move through it as slow or fast as you choose. What's nice is its open book but the questions can be tricky so make sure to read them completely. Personally I preferred one month of SL than two semesters of a subject I find sort of dull. If you decide to use SL (and finish with decent scores) consider using FHSU to transcript the courses and then send on to TESC. I thought it would be best especially when considering a grad program.
