I took Spanish from kindergarten until high school but never became fluent. My background in grammar is very strong however. I have not been in a Spanish class since high school and am now a senior in college. I need to earn the 12 hours of credit so I can graduate on time. My school requires a score of 66. I've taken the Peterson's practice exams and have received scores over 90% on all of them. I've also taken the REA practice exams and received a "scaled score" of 75 and 77? However, I have no idea how this is representative of the clep "scaled score" because I barely answered 60% of the questions correctly. I'm taking the test this Friday and I'm kind of freaking out. Any help would be much appreciated. I've been cramming the schaum's spanish outline book as well as the REA book for the past week preparing for the test. Wish I had longer. How do you think I'll fare on the clep exam this friday? I need a 66. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi,
I haven't taken this one myself, but have heard from a few friends that it is a pretty difficult exam because of the speaking/listening portion. You can totally do it, but I would do as much practice with listening comprehension as possible.
Good luck!

Don't freak out ;-) I took Peterson's practice exams and also received scores over 90%. I think that Peterson's exams are a good indicator of your exam readiness. As for grammar pay special attention to subjunctive mode, and past tenses.
Listening comprehension tasks aren't that difficult at all. People speak slowly, and they don't really use that much of sophisticated phrases.
iBuena suerte!
