Help Shape My Last Remaining CLEPS/DSST's...almost done.

Lindagerr Wrote::iagree: with all of the above congrats and advice.

You are an inspiration, if you can do all those test/credits in 1 month I should be able to do 26 credits in 5 months. (Of course having a family that thinks crisis should happen every day, doesn't help)

With everything done by the end of this week I can't see how you could miss the April 1st deadline. Take that test this week and then give yourself next weekend off to do nothing that you don't want to do.

Thanks Bric, Nap and Linda! Linda, I will take off after next weekend. I still have the LSAT next Saturday BUT after that I will definitely relax. I will still be around here for a while. You CAN definitely do 26 credits in 5 months!

Every time I would find myself getting tired of studying (which was a lot) I would keep reminding myself why I'm doing this. We all have our personal reasons. My journey started 15 years ago and I regretted never finishing. I always wanted to move on in my career which is something I've accomplished without a degree but I want that next level. This goal can only be accomplished by finishing this degree and moving forward. Whatever your reasons are for completing this degree know that you are the only person that can limit yourself. A buddy of mine kept me grounded with a very simple piece of logic. These next 5 months will be hard, taxing, and very demanding. Time continues to march forward so in 5 months you can either be a person with a completed degree or someone without one. Either way 5 months will lapse in the process. I thought about this every time I tried to slow down or stop. You know that you can do this. Keep moving forward! cheersmate

It's amazing I was reading through my posts for the last month and you can see my frustration, excitement, and concern. I'm still not quite there yet but I know I'm close. I'm considering filing for graduation in about two weeks just to see what TESC does. That can't hurt right? hilarious

How did I know you would say that!! You have absolutely NO patience do you!! :roflol:

In all honesty it wouldnt hurt at all! See below!

Taken from TESC application for graduation letter-

<<<<The following steps detail the graduation process:
  1. An academic audit will be conducted and you will be notified by mail of any outstanding academic or financial requirements.
  2. If all requirements for graduation have been met, your name will be submitted to the Board of Trustees at its next scheduled meeting for approval of your degree.
  3. Once your file has been certified for graduation, two copies of an official "certified for graduation letter" are automatically sent to you. The "certified for graduation letter" states that all the degree requirements have been completed and that the student's degree is scheduled to be conferred on the date of the next Thomas Edison State College Board of Trustees meeting. These letters are sent well in advance of the actual date of the graduation. You are able to use the letter, along with a copy of your transcript, for proof of the anticipated degree until the degree is actually conferred by the Board of Trustees and is officially noted on the transcript.
  4. Graduation certification letters and a final transcript will be sent to you with your Thomas Edison State College diploma. This diploma package is mailed one week after the graduation date.
  5. If you have any questions about this letter or your graduation audit status, please contact the Advisement Center through the myEdison help desk. By clicking the "Help" button, located along the top of the page, you will be directed to the College Support Portal. Once there, select "Submit a Ticket". You are then asked to select the appropriate department (Academic Advisement Only) and then the appropriate degree program (BA, BSAST, BSBA, etc.) if you have an academic advising question. Your email will then be routed to the appropriate advising staff member. >>>>

Congratulations!!! Great story. You don't have to wait to apply for graduation. I applied last week for June graduation as well, and I still need to wait to finish 2 classes at AMU which will be done at the end of February. Just make sure like bricabrac posted that you fill in the transcripts they need to wait on. Actually, somebody at Registrar's encouraged me to apply earlier, not sure why...maybe they're hurting for cash flow. Good luck with the LSAT's, you seem like one determined individual.

I might now be in a bit of a bind. In this thread http://www.degreeforum.net/excelsior-tho...ne-64.html Creationstory posted "for beginning algebra i was given this not math 102

1 DMT-002 Developmental Elem. Algeb 0.00 CR DMT-002 *NE*DEV

for zero credits... i think i'm going to write them and ask them"

If this holds true I will have a major problem. If TESC awards zero credits for this I am now 3 hours shy. banghead

I'm trying not to freak out but wow this is crazy.

This can't be right. I got a letter conferring my AA degree for March 2010 with the Beginning Algebra which is listed as MAT102 on my Academic Evaluation. I also applied for my BA for June 2010 graduation and my Academic Evaluation adds up so far.
