So, after advising appoointment, looks like I only need the 6 reqired TESU credits!

So I got some good news today!

Had my detailed advising appointment with TESU yesterday.  After discussing with Don Stoltz (chose him based on recommendations here), based on the transcript review, he thinks that the Human Services classes I took will be able to be reclassified as liberal arts electives, based on the content and their being cross-listed by my community college as psychology classes. That will move about 15 credits into the liberal arts categories, and backfill the remaining free electives from unused ones

And that means... all of my remaining requirements (except for a CLEP I've been studying for and am about to take, and a study.com public speaking class I'm almost done with) are fulfilled, except for the Info Literacy and Capstone.

So, assuming the CLEP transcript posts to TESU in the next couple of days (I requested it a week ago), I should be able to sign up for both classes for the June semester and be done in 12 weeks!

This is super exciting and I'm forever grateful for the advice to apply to TESU, as well as the other input I've received here.  It wasn't on my list due to the $3200 less-than-16-credit fee, but when I took everything into consideration, not only was it cost competitive, but they took far more of my credits, and applied them in a way that needed fewer general core curriculum classes.

I'm super stoked.  Thanks again!

Yeah, Don and a few others are pretty good. It really doesn't make too much of a difference as long as the academic advisor knows what you're wanting to do and knows how to move things around. Great news indeed, good work, looking forward to seeing you start the two courses and finishing them...
