I am planning to get a masters in history at some point. It would be eventually used for my work as I plan to go into library science/archives.
Do you think that one stands out more than the other as far as how an employer would view it? They each have good points and I'm just trying to get some other opinions. TIA

The history department is AMU's best, and I have heard it's really good. No idea about SHSU.

I am eventually going to get a MA in History and am gonna go through AMU. I would love to get one through SHSU, but they require a GRE and are more expensive. I'm not too worried about the school name. Before I leave the Army, I plan on having two Masters from AMU.
Central Texas College already said they would hire me to teach with 18 Grad SH towards my MA in History going through AMU so I guess I can't go wrong there.

As a Military man I can highly recommend AMU, I have never heard a bad thing about it.
But as a Texan, and my first duty is to my State, I must say that any institution named after such a great man must be good to go.
