On free-clep-prep it's listed as 1 on the difficulty scale but the 2015 pass rate is 35%. Is this a test I should spend a week studying for or am I fine to go in blind?

Ignore the pass rates. Certain government employees (all active duty military, some civilian DOD, some military reserve, etc...) get to take CLEP or DSST exams at no charge. So many challenge the test without preparing since it is free anyway. That drives the rates down.

thanks, for that bit of advice. How hard do you think this CLEP is then?

Do you have to do CLEP, or can you do ACE Approved online courses? If you can, the Principles of Management course on Straighterline can be completed in just a few days and is not hard at all.

Since you passed the Supervision DSST, you should be able to pass the Management CLEP.

Actually, they started breaking out the numbers a couple of years ago. For 2015, the military pass rate for the Management CLEP is 35% - but the civilian pass rate is 67%. OakLakeNC is right, the military folks get to take the tests free, so they attempt more and with less prep than everyone else.

I agree with "dfrecore", if you took and passed the Principles of Supervision DSST , then the Management CLEP shouldn't be at all hard for you. I don't ever recommend going in cold. You should at least look over some terms and feel pretty solid on the "Main" topics covered.
