Here's the link to a thread where this was discussed just a few weeks ago!

I hope that helps you!

It is definitely up there. A bad resume might not even get a call. Also, do not put anything on it that you don't know. I interview for technical positions and hate when someone rights something as a skill but can not answer any questions about it during the interview.

If you are printing it out and mailing it to 100 nameless, faceless people, then it is critical. Because your piece of paper will be right there beside many others. In this scenario, do something to try and make it stand out. Print it on a paper with a different texture etc. Don't go too crazy or you'll look... well... crazy.

If you are printing it out, and bringing it with you to an interview you arranged by working smart and creatively, it's important but not critical. Your winning smile, attitude, and skill set will get you the job.

Moral of this story? Sending in a resume has to be the worst way to get a job. It is what 95% of the rest of the applicants will do. And you don't want to look or act like them do you? Be creative... (but not crazy.)

Just so everyone knows,

"Wilson" and the thread starter, "Daniels", are one and the same person and both usernames have been banned from the forum.

This is a common trick used by spammers on boards like this. One fake username is used to begin a seemingly legitimate discussion thread. A second fake username is then used by the same person so that they can 'respond' to the original poster (themself) with an advertisement for some service or product.

For this reason, they're both outta here!

Take care,
