Yes, I definitely do intend to acquire some IT relevant certifications along the way, while i have gotten an AA in Business I am really seeking a more technical bachelors in CS/MIS/CIS.
Is there a particular reason you suggest the TAMUC BAAS?

There are so many ways to go around this, you're still very young and can work on that trifecta I mentioned of certs, degree, experience. You're in Texas, TAMUC is a local institution in the state and the BAAS is very flexible, they allow up to 48 credits of professional development courses you would like to take (CS, CIS, IT, MIS, etc), and customize it to your own liking. You get a local recognized institution that is more known than TESU/UMPI or similar. You can then ladder upwards to a Masters of choice.

Check out the 2 links above. You could submit your transcripts to TAMUC for evaluation. You do not pay an application fee until you register for classes. 

I am finishing up my 2nd 7 week semester at TAMUC, just waiting on my final project to get graded. After that class is complete I will have 6 classes left until graduation.

My wife is finishing up her 1st semester at TAMUC, she is taking BGS.
