The reason for the question, is that many of us probably were exposed to this either during middle school or high school. There are always people who will look to take the easy way out, especially if they see someone who is friendly and open to them.
Growing a thick skin is a process we all go through and you can do this, too. :coolgleam:
I actually was not home schooled...I never was exposed to this during high school (and I used to sit in the back of the room and no one cheated)

Purple Teen, these ladies are not your friends. They are predatory leeches. You seem like a nice person, and unfortunately some people view this quality as a weakness and they thrive off of it. Keep the kindness - we certainly need more of it in this day and age - but at the same time express your assertiveness when you feel somebody is wronging you. Surround yourself with good people and leave these misfits behind.

Thanks burbuja0512 for pointing that out

when I said I'm doing it the hard way, I meant through sitting in a class as opposed to doing studying at home when you feel like studying. I didn't mean that testing out was easy...but if it makes you happy, I'll switch it.

I knew what you meant and I didn't take offense, but since also many people here are almost 100% testing, I just didn't want anyone to get upset with you
I deleted my earlier post.
Thanks!!!!

I just realized you attend Adelphi. My sister in law earned her PhD there, it's an excellent school, and I doubt they'd put up with the cheater-girl for two seconds!

No offense intended when asking if home schooled, just curious because there seem to be many threads here both from students and parents involved in it.
Here in S. Florida, things are very tough -- after all we are the scam capital of the world hilarious At least according to the news the other night.
Usually they pick on the elderly, though. Wait, that's me!
Either way, it is just another learning experience.

If I were in your shoes I would have already turned her in for cheating. I have no issues with making enemies. Life is to short to try and be everyone's friend. As another poster already mentioned you continue to let her cheat off you and sacrifice your academic integrity to do what's right and it's a surefire way to get yourself burned. So I'll second what the other poster said and ask, Is it really worth it.?
