It has taken me over a year to finalize my decision, but my degree of choice will the the Bachelor of Arts in Social Science from the University of Wyoming.
Due to their exam acceptance policy, it looks like I'm going to lose some of the credit that I thought I had, which stinks! However, I have compared them to several other programs and came to the conclusion that even with the lost credits, I will save more money and more time by going with UofWy than with any other option, anywhere. Well, I mean, I could get a degree somewhat more quickly with Excelsior, however, it would end up being more expensive.
So, with this school and this program chosen and set, I will end up taking much more CLEP/DSST than I had previously anticipated. That's bad news for you all, since it means that I will be spending more time here

VERY COOL!!!!
How many total online classes will you need through them and how many testing credits will they accept?
Will you keep us all posted on your progress and give all details? There are so many postings here on the big 3 that I think it would be beneficial to hear about other options.

You need to get 30 upper level credits from them. The rest, if you so chose, can be from transfer credit or exams, with no limit on how many exam credits. However, they don't follow the ACE recommendations on credit by examination.
I have some course credits and some exam credits to transfer in, then I will have a healthy mix of exams and courses to take me to that elusive B.A.

I'm working with my 15 year old now to get some college credits under his belt and we've thought about a big 3 undergrad for him. I kind of like the U of WY idea a little bit better just because it might be beneficial if he stays in CO because the U of WY is well-known here.
Of course the choice will ultimately be up to him, but he is currently doing ALEKS college algebra and really likes the idea of doing CLEP/DSST's. Nice to know that this is an option.

Great news. I look forward to reading about your experiences. I looked at several schools with ~30 credit residencies, but most limited exam credit too much for me. Glad you found something that works.

This sounds like a great option. Do you have to take the 30 UL credits on campus or do they have a distance option?

Hi MC,
I'm really pleased you've reached this stage and the way you've done it. Your choice sounds like it's the result of a lot of research, consideration and, of course, the result of your hard work
It's always interesting to learn how different people here approach their bachelors and I hope you keep us updated with your progress.
Well done for making it this far and good luck for what sounds like some tough courses ahead!
