OK, this may sound weird, but I'm taking Principals of Statistics at TESC right now and I'm loving it. That's right I like statistics and I'm breezing through the course. So here's my question. This is the only Stat class at TESC. Is anyone aware of any other distance learning 300 or 400 level stat classes at any other schools? I'm looking around on my own, but thought I'd ask here as well. Thanks.

I cannot help you with your question, but I have a question for you.
How is the workload? Are you doing it online or guided study? I have heard that the written assignments are simply horrible!
Good for you for having such an easy time of it

I wonder why you wouldn't just test out if the class. Since you're so good at it, might as well save the time and money.

Though I must protest and comment that this is truly a disturbed individual that would find statistics enjoyable:
Statistics.com approved by ACE for some statistics credit at both the graduate and undergraduate level.
ACE | National Guide to College Credit for Workforce Training
Their homepage is
statistics.com
I know they offer the courses online, but I think its in a class format.
And if you have truly lost your mind, how about taking a look at a Masters in Statistics from Colorado State University.

Hear, hear!
I'm currently taking Statistics at a community college, and while I don't find it extremely difficult (of course, I just started it last week - LOL) if I could have taken the DSST exam and gotten a letter grade, I would have already done so. Taking the class was cheaper than taking the ECE, but it is the equivalent of sitting in the dentist chair for hours during a root canal = prolonged torture.
But just to put in for my geek credentials, I am enjoying my Macroeconomics class especially in these economic times - so relevant!

Already posted, but for those who like torture,
statistics.com has classes about every kind of stats. It is Halloween, but that's not my kind of scary
Since you obviously have a gift, you might want to think about going into stats as a field. The demand for people with degrees in stats is over the top (gee, I'm not sure why:confused: ) but even in teaching at the college level, there are more job openings than qualified teachers.
In the meantime, you might like to read about Penn State's online stats certificate:

Thanks for all the info. I stumbled onto statistics.com last night, but had to get my stat home work done do did not spend much time there.
Wendy - The workload is doable. I took Quantitative Business Analysis in the spring and the workload for that class was much worse. I just got my mid-term grade and got a 98 so I would recommend this class at TESC. I'm taking it as an online course. I like the interaction. Although my classmates seems to be more reserved and don't post very often.
Jeffs34 - I had no idea what statistics was about. I had heard horrible things about it and decided a class would be better than testing for me.
I'll have to check out the Penn State sight, sounds interesting. I have to say though that while demand may be high; this is a career that could easily be outsourced.
