A point I wanted to make in my last post is that SL is an option (on an ACE) at Florida state schools. I am not completely positive, but I think they allow 15 credits from ACE and of course 45 credits by examination.
With proper planning it is possible to earn an AA degree in Florida with 5 residency courses, credit by examination, and ACE approved courses.

If ACE is an option then a lot of credit would open up...ALEKS fro example. On an individual bases one to one with an enlightened counselor I can see this happening. The schools have some leeway in what they allow. With that said I don't think you will find ACE understood or accepted in a broad way beyond technical electives granted to military.
For awhile Florida Gateway (a state CC, now State College) was a Straighterline partner and their whole collection of courses directly transferred. I understand the teachers union objected and state regulators pretty quickly made them stop. SL is looked down upon by the established system. Think of all those adjuncts who would have their jobs threatened by the SL model.

I'm always happy to complete the free application waiver for those applying to WGU (I get a free gift from WGU for this). Just PM me your first/last name and a valid email so I can complete their form.
