Has anyone recently taken the SSH exam? I really want to cram this in one weekend if possible, but it seems soooo broad. I have taken Psychology, Sociology, US History I & II. I just bought the REA book. I will thumb through it. Does anyone have any recommendations, without weeks of study time?

I did it in roughly 2-3 (VERY intense) days mainly using the REA and IC. Here's the blog post I wrote after I took the test:
And 6 more makes⦠57, I think.

I didn't have any background in the sociology aspects of the test, but I am fairly strong in history.
Good luck!

My suggestion is go for MAXIMUM yield. Meaning, re-cram the subjects you already did. So, in your REA SS&H book, study only psych, soc, US History, and then check the anthro section as well as a quickie in the politics on the major points. I'd totally skip world history. Everything from what you've already tested is well beyond 50% of the test's content- so if you get those right you'll be golden. In other words, if you don't miss anything in psych/soc/US history you can miss the world history and govt questions and still pass. :patriot:

This is definitely one of the more "common sense" exams. You should do fine based on what you know and what you can figure out through general knowledge.

I took the Social Science & History exam about a month ago. Since you've taken many of the related exams so recently, you do have a natural advantage. The SS&H exam doesn't possess the depth in the questions that the individual subject exams have. Review the flashcards, or work through the Peterson's tests for more support.

Thanks everyone. I am going to do REA tests, Peterson tests, and brush up on everything this weekend. I will hopefully test on Monday!
