Is it obnoxious to list degree acronymns behind your name on your resume?

Well also many people with a PH.D after an LMHC/LPC note both because their PH.D is actually in counselor education, not strictly counseling. (to my knowledge there is no "counseling" Ph.D)

This is under the department of Counselor Education, but they refer to the doctoral program as a PhD in Counseling on the webpage and in the handbook.

For example, suppose you saw this name:

Jane Doe, JD, MBA, CPA, PMI-PMP, PMI-ACP (That is someone's real title).

Is that too much? Or, would you proudly list all of it.

Well, it "feels" like too much so it probably is, but that suite of qualifications are not linear and cannot be assumed based on the others so they do paint a distinct picture. When people list "PhD, MA, BA" I find it silly because they are linear and the higher one replaces the lower. You really only need to list the PhD at that point. But having a JD doesn't imply an MBA, the MBA doesn't imply the CPA, and the CPA doesn't imply anything from PMI. That being said, I don't know what I would hire Ms. Doe for lol. That alphabet soup seems appropriate for an owner of a company that offers many services but unnecessary for any one particular service.

For another combination of JD another professional preparation, "A professional with either an MD, DO, or DDS degree AND a JD degree, all degrees from accredited schools, and licensed to practice in either profession" is eligible to apply for Fellow of the American College of Legal Medicine.

Yeah I think you can get away with JD + anything. I remember reading about firms that specialize in technology patents and it wasn't uncommon for many attorneys to have a JD with a PhD in the field they wanted to focus on. Maybe that can be extended to "any professional grad degree" + "any academic grad degree"?
