You can only get college credits for tests if the testing entity pays to get the course/exam ACE or NCCRS recommended. So it's not a college's fault - it's the IRS for not getting credit for it.

But you can certainly use the information you learn to do PLA's.

I have no clue what Pla's are or what is required

PLAs are prior learning assessments; TESU calls them portfolio assessments. They're kind of tedious. They require documentation of experience or non-traditional training and usually a paper demonstrating college-level learning.

I think the Enrolled Agent designation is worth it if you want to do taxes while working toward becoming a CPA. I took two of the Enrolled Agent exams. I bought one of the highly-rated books off of Amazon.

PassKey. It was great for individual taxation and representation, but I would probably pick a different book or online study program for business taxation. I think they also have a practice book for business taxation, but I didn't buy it.

Wow. It's three exams. "Each part is 3.5 hours long. The actual seat time is 4 hours to allow for a tutorial and survey." Hopefully they allow someone to finish early and leave.

I know I'm usually quite a fast test taker.
