Does anyone here know of any that are offered by distance learning?
And to you rknowledge, would any qualify a degree-holder for a Chaplain role in any branch of either a. The U.S. Armed Forces or b. The German Armed Forces (Bundeswehr) based on each service's requirements + the degree curriculum, standards, and accreditation?

Hi there,
There are many that would probably fit the bill, often offered as Chaplaincy specific DMins, or spiritual direction etc:
United Theological Seminary of the Twin Cities has an open faith milieu, and a nice suite of DMins: https://www.unitedseminary.edu/doctor-of-ministry/
The UU seminary Meadville Lombard would also be a good bet: https://www.meadville.edu/our-programs/d...-ministry/
That said, a DMin will not qualify you for US Armed Forces chaplaincy. The VA/DoD generally requires an MDiv or equivalent, with a contiguous offering of 72 semester units, this cannot be piecemealed together from multiple degrees. DMins will require this degree or equivalent theological studies for entrance, and then only comprise around 30 credits typically.
South College does has a DMin that you can do a direct entry to ( https://www.south.edu/program/doctor-of-ministry/) that has a MMin included in its curricula en route, and may be friendly to Jewish theological suppositions, within the required curriculum. It totals around 90 unites, but it is self-paced/competency based.
Good luck!

Look at Hartford International University for Religion and Peace for their MA in Chaplaincy and Interreligious Studies here https://www.hartfordinternational.edu/ac...rtificates and they have a partnership with Gratz College https://www.gratz.edu/academics/program/...leadership for Jewish Studies. Gratz also uses Hartford IU for their Chaplaincy certificate.
While I was taking their courses, I had multiple members of the US Armed Forces in the chaplaincy courses with me.

I was briefly enrolled in USCGAUX, but the meetings were located in a distant suburb from me and the commuting distance/cost without a car made it unfeasible. I couldn't justify the high uber fare to get to the meeting site and back. I'm honestly thinking of getting a driver's license just so I can re-enroll, or enroll again once I'm in a location that has an active USCGAUX chapter.
We actually did have a Chaplain in the group, though she was trained solely in Christian traditions and, incidentally, rarely showed up to meetings.

Sanantone posted this to the sister forum yesterday. It is not an MDiv but is geared toward chaplaincy (maybe not military chaplaincy though? IDK, I don't understand the different requirements):

Only 30 semester hours, and as DeanLewis notes above, “The VA/DoD generally requiresan MDiv or equivalent, with a contiguous offering of 72 semester units, this cannot be piecemealed together from multiple degrees.[/quote]
Perhaps you could take this 30-sh degree then transfer it to a contiguous degree of 72 sh or more? Like transferring an associate’s to a bachelor’s.

CAP is a great community! I was a member for 5 years where I focused in the Professional Development specialty track and gained my level 3. I really recommend this program and I would love to see their numbers increase. Unfortunately, their numbers have decreased exponentially, especially during and post-COVID era

Interesting (and slightly frustrating): a quick google search for M.Div degrees is mainly turning up Christian-oriented degrees and not really any Jewish-oriented (or at least interfaith) ones.
