There is already a wiki for that.
I still say an OK State DHA is your best bet. Either that or go the Level 8 /DBA route.

I’m trying to understand how ABD (All But Dissertation) is typically verified for admission into ABD completion programs.

1. Is “ABD” or “doctoral candidate/candidacy” ever shown on an official transcript, or is it usually not listed explicitly?
2. If it’s not on the transcript, what do schools usually accept as proof — just the number/type of doctoral credits, or do they require an official letter from the university confirming candidacy/comps/dissertation status?
3. What specific milestones do ABD completion programs typically look for (e.g., comprehensive exams passed, advancement to candidacy, proposal approved, dissertation credits, etc.)?
4. If a transcript shows a doctoral program plus a milestone master’s (like an MPhil) but no doctorate awarded, is that enough for ABD programs, or do they still need a candidacy verification letter?

If anyone has gone through ABD completion admissions (or evaluated transcripts for it), I’d really appreciate what documentation worked and what didn’t.

It is typically after advancing to candidacy, but I suspect you can talk to specific programs given ABD is not an official status in the US.

I’m trying to figure out the best “finish fast” route using a lot of prior doctoral credits.

I have doctoral-level credits in business, IT, and education, all earned within the last 6 years, so I’m hoping I can transfer enough to qualify for an ABD / dissertation-completion style path (or at least shorten the program a lot).

Goals
Regionally accredited only
Online
Total cost ≤ $12k per program after all credit transferred
Finish in 12–18 months (depending on my pace)
Oral defense is fine (no-defense programs would be a bonus)

I’m using this thread as a starting reference and wondering if these are basically the only ABD programs people recommend here:
https://www.degreeinfo.com/index.php?thr...ams.59017/

One thing I’m confused about: I don’t see Baker College listed in the DegreeInfo wiki, but I keep seeing people mention it in comments elsewhere.

Baker College (DBA ABD)
Is Baker actually reputable? I keep seeing mixed opinions: some people say it’s great and transfer-friendly, others say they wouldn’t earn a DBA there since it doesn’t have “university”. But Steve vouch for it so I’m very convinced it seems a good option.
If you’ve looked into it or completed it, how was the dissertation process, support, and overall credibility?

EdD options
What’s the fastest realistic RA EdD route when transferring a lot of credits?

I’ve been looking at Alvernia, Alverno, Morgan and a few others, but I’m trying to avoid programs that advertise “completion” and then drag out.

Westcliff (DBA Level 8)
I’m told it can be done in ~1.5 years, but I’m treating it as a last option unless people strongly vouch for it.

DHA at OSU
Already on my “good option” list, so I’m mainly asking about PhD, DBA, and EdD and other ABD/completion-style routes.

Morgan : PhD ABD also will be considered. Just hard to get a hold of them.

Questions
1. Are the programs in the link above basically the only ABD completion options people here recommend?
2. For DBA, is Baker a solid choice reputation-wise, or are there better alternatives in the same price/time range?
3. For EdD, which schools are truly completion-friendly and won’t reset me into years of coursework?

Baker College isn't in the DegreeForum wiki because no one who knew about it took the time to add it to the wiki. That's the only reason I know of.

Have you tried asking these questions on DegreeInfo? If you're having trouble registering, contact Steve Foerster and he can help you.
