ALEKS Intro to Statistics
#21
I took about 25 hours to do stats, which with the time I gave it with some days not doing it at all meant it took me about 3 1/2 weeks. Trig took about 4-5 weeks, about 40 hours. Trig was like WWI trench warfare for me. I like math analysis since it is more like programming to me. If I wanted to do trig I would be an engineer. I am not, there is a reason for that.

Congrats John. I know how frustrating Aleks Statistics can be. I would never have attempted Business Statstics but then I am not a business person. Congrats on the Algebra so quick, I did that first I don't know if it helped with Stat or not.

@akeefe Do not give up or feel stupid. ALEKS Statistics took me about 100 hrs in all of course I started and quit about 3 times. I finally started printing every explanation and looking back when I got confused. The worst part is I am a Math teacher LOL. Of course I can only teach 5-8th grade math which only goes to beginning Algebra at most. I also used Khan academy videos to help me understand some of the concepts I found most difficult.

Thanks! Yeah, I'm not exactly thrilled to be doing Business Stats but $20 for 3 more credits is something I can't pass up right now.

Indeed. I too had to print out a LOT of the explanations to pass Intro to Stats and it took many hours to finish that course. Thank goodness printing is free at the local library or it would have cost me fortune! I must have printed out about 300 pages by the time I was done. I've saved them all too for the Business Stats course. They are both supposed to be similar so perhaps I can use the printouts for help in that class too. Mathway was a godsend as well.
