LSU Shreveport online Ed.D. in Leadership
#1
Looking at the online Ed.D. in Leadership with the emergency management focus option as a potential doctorate program. (Cost being the largest factor)...
Does anyone have experience with the EdD. specifically or LSU Shreveport (online) generally?

I think LSUS would be a fantastic choice. I haven’t gone there myself, but a friend did the MBA program and loved her time there. I noticed that the EdD is highly competitive and they take very few new students each year.

Depending on your goals and if you need any particular accreditation, a back up option might be this one:

Or possibly this one: https://ace.edu/degree-programs/doctoral...eadership/

Good luck!

I went to LSU online for a summer. I didn't care for it. They crammed so much into the courses. It was ridiculous. The proctored exams were a challenging and the professors talked about the different problems with the proctoring. There were team projects which I don't care for because in past experiences few want to do the work. The summer session was much shorter than the fall or spring semester so that's why so much was crammed in.

The courses that required proctors, were those specific to your particular major, or do all LSU online programs require proctors?

This seems like a major point that should be covered up front on their website, but isn't...

All exams at LSU had proctors in 2022. I was in a grad program and my program had multiple exams in every course. All exams and tests were proctored.
