Anyone know what the protocol is for this? I would really like to have a copy of Photoshop CS6 at the discounted price because I am a student. I don't know how to take advantage of this, if I even have this option. Anyone try it?

Academic software discounts | Adobe
You certainly have that option. Does Excelsior provide student IDs?? If not, just ask them for a transcript or a tuition bill and send to Adobe. After you purchase the product (make sure it is the student and teacher edition), Adobe will provide you with instructions on how to submit the proof.

I don't know about Photoshop or if Excelsior gives student email addresses, but I used my email address at Colorado Tech to receive the student discount for Windows 7. That was a savior from the horrible Windows Vista that came with my desktop computer.
