I am one study.com test away from being done my classes for a dual BSBA. Next step is to take the cornerstone and capstone. I’m very excited and couldn’t have made it this far without all of your help. I’m so excited to be very close to completing this long journey. However, I’m extremely nervous going into the capstone. I had a mild case of Covid in April and ever since my grades haven’t been as good as they were pre covid (passing but not great). I’ve been dealing with a lot of brain fog and it seems to take me longer with school tasks. I’m terrified of spending the money to fail or not do well. Has anyone had any similar worries or situations?
Hey there! I think you should take the cornerstone and capstone when you are ready. You can apply for up to two eight-week extensions for $236 per class, per extension. This means that you could potentially get an extra 16 weeks to finish your classes as long as you have 50% of the class finished which includes the discussions that need to be finished on the assigned weeks. Things like the final paper would be able to be finished later. I am personally taking 16 credits this semester that includes two capstone classes (business and computer science) and the cornerstone, both of which I think can be managed if you are taking only 6 credits. Best of luck and let me know if you have more questions!

I'm currently enrolled in the cornerstone and capstone (LSSS).
My strategy, as suggested by someone here, was to bust ass in the first week and knock out everything possible. For me, that meant all of the tests for each of the units in SOS-110, the entire NimblyWise and MyFoundations Lab work, and about 5 of the module assignments. I was also able to do about 5 or 6 of the discussion forums (though I have to wait until others post to post responses.) I suspect it took me maybe 10-15 hours all in to do that.
I did something somewhat similar for LIB-495, but that wasn't as easy as there wasn't as much testing/busy work. I did, however, knock out the ETS Proficiency Profile, the Written Communications Assessment.
So for SOS-110, that basically leaves the written assignments, the final project, and the responses to others' discussion posts. And that also leaves lots of time for the capstone paper itself.
I'm probably going overboard on the capstone paper, but I'm enjoying the research and writing, and I think it's going to be a decent paper.
One other suggestion: I created a color-coded Excel sheet (different color for each class) and created a row for every item in each class, by date, that requires some sort of action (discussion post, assignment, test, etc.) That way I can track what's coming up and see it at a glance, and it's been super helpful to keep me focused and also keep me ahead of schedule. I highly recommend this.

If you're not relying on financial aid, perhaps you can take them separately.
I'm in the cornerstone and capstone now. For the first 9ish weeks of the class even weeks are papers and odd weeks are quizzes and discussion questions. I will say that the even weeks do have a couple of long days. Like others have suggested, I think getting ahead in the SOS110 class by going quizzes, MyFoundations and NimblyWise is a good idea. I didn't do the discussion questions in advance, since I tend to like to see what others write first to give myself ideas.
The SOS110 class is honestly easy. It's very much an "intro to college" type class. Papers are pretty short and discussion questions are very straight forward. The capstone is a giant research project and definitely feels like one.
If it helps, my schedule is:
Odd weeks I do my discussion questions and replies on Tuesdays. Sometimes something else has to be done, which I get done on Tuesday or Wednesday. Wednesday/Thursday are personal days and I don't do much school work. Then I get my SOS110 paper done for the odd week on Friday - Sunday, so it's nice and leisurely without any stress. That leaves me a whole week of the even week to write my capstone paper.
