MIS vs. CS degrees
#11
I would say that for use in getting software developer jobs that care about a degree, the degree better be CS, software development, or EE. Some people do well with Math or hard science plus lots of experience. An IT/IS degree is going to be questioned and may not work a lot better than no degree. The liberal studies degree even more so. A master's program might go along with the IT degree if you have enough CS credits and experience, but I'd research the programs you want to apply to.

In your shoes, I'd bite the bullet and do the CS degree. You'll breeze through the CS courses and should be able to do it quickly.

Another option is to quickly get your bachelor's completed in whatever you're looking at, IT or what have you... then complete a Masters. An example is this, you go for the UMPI BLS MIS minor and go for the WGU MBA ITM or the MS ITM (Info Tech Management). Since you're already in IT for the last X years, you have the basic certs and plenty of experience, you just need the final missing piece - the check the box degree or bachelor's & master's degrees!
In Progress: Walden MBA | TESU BA Biology & Computer Science

Completed: TESU ASNSM Biology, BSBA (ACBSP Accredited 2017)
Universidad Isabel I: ENEB MBA, Big Data & BI, Digital Marketing & E-Commerce
Certs: 6Sigma/Lean/Scrum, ITIL | Cisco/CompTIA/MTA | Coursera/Edx/Udacity
