Marketing CLEP Question
#1
I've started taking the flashcard quizes a week ago and on average I am at 50% on them. Yesterday I took to the CLEP practice exam from CLEP and got 40 out of 50. I take the test on Saturday 9/13. Based on these results am I:

  1. In big trouble
  2. On the right track but not there yet
  3. Looking VERY good
  4. No need to keep studying pick up a six pack and relax. You'll pass easy.

#2. Just keep going through the flashcards. As much repetition as possible and you'll be fine.

You're at #2, but you're closing in on #3. Definitely shoot for a higher percentage on the flashcards. If you don't recognize the terms accurately, you'll have trouble with the application questions on the exam, and also risk choosing a "sucker" answer on tricky questions.

Also, 40 out of 50 on the practice exam is a very good sign, as long as you didn't do a lot of guessing. My exam turned out to be somewhat more difficult than the practice exam; however, it still was one of the easier exams I have taken. If you master the IC flashcards you should have no problem.

So get that six pack nice and cold, and you'll be ready for it in a couple of days. Wink

All depends on the reason you're averaging 50% on the flashcards. I never used the scoring on the flashcards because often my answer was "wrong" due to a spelling anomaly or my answer was a synonym for the "correct" answer. Since there is such a disparity between your practice test and the flashcards, I would assume that some of your "wrong" answers on the flashcards were simply "different but also correct." Many people start by taking the practice tests--and if their score is high enough (yours clearly is) then they take the test with little to no studying.

I think you're at #3 (love that system) and you should just do some nice and easy review--perhaps while reclined on the couch watching the game tonight for example, and just keep what you know fresh in your mind.

If you're going for jkfuss scores then you should keep up the intensity. Otherwise, if anything north of 60 or so will be satisfactory and many of your wrong flashcard answers really are not wrong, then I think you're ready. Good luck.
