Well it's not actually a PF proctor...it's a proctor you've chosen to sit your exam with.
Correct. Different last name, different mailing address, @ min AA degree.
Although, if I used my married name and my brother did not live out of state I don't think we would have encountered a problem. So I guess a BF, coworker, or next door neighbor will suffice as long as they have at minimum an AA degree.

The only correspondence or communication my proctor ever received from them was a mailed envelope that included my exams. In the envelope they provide an envelope for you to return the exams. If memory serves, my final grades were posted within 10 days from mailing.
I filled out my form right away and returned by fax so it would be approved and added to my file by the time I completed my M/C quizzes. Here's a link to the form:

Keep in mind some courses
do not require a proctored exam. Since your terrorism course is new to us (independent students) here, you won't know until your course is activated. If the exam is not proctored, you will see an extra link for the final exam on your course page. That link will have the final exam booklet attached. You complete the final in a word document and upload back to the website.
All in all, proctored exam or not, PF has the easiest process I've encountered in any formal distance learning course to date.
Good luck and have fun!
