I found this forum in December and have enrolled at clovis for Biology and a 2 credit class-Teaching Children Games and Fitness. I have also taken and passed my first CLEP-Intro to Sociology. I am looking at ALEKS for math but being that I am not mathy need help figuring out what the lowest level math course Excelsior will accept is. From what I've read the requirements are different for different degrees. I am not looking at anything in business. It would either be liberal arts, pschology, social science or something along those lines.

CLEP College Math. 6 Credits, high school level stuff. It works for liberal arts for sure, and I don't know what else. Check out the catalogs on EC's website, they list the CLEP and DSST tests they will accept.

If you are asking which is the lowest ALEKS course you can take to meet the quantitative requirement at Excelsior, I did a thorough search of the forum several weeks ago and found this for Liberal Studies:

I think the Psychology Major has a statistics requirement.
I know that ALEKS Statistics is being awarded upper-level credit for Liberal Studies at Excelsior.
Also, look at the College Math CLEP for 6 credits.
You can have a total of 3 courses in math below calculus for credit. The math CLEP, 1 ALEKS, and ALEKS Stats would give you 12 credits, including 3 upper-level. Plus it would count as a depth in Math. (Thanks to TMW2010 for this great idea!)
[
Update: Statistics does count as math, but it does not count toward the 3 courses below calculus policy. Statistics through ALEKS counts as upper-level credit, and can be used to fulfill a depth in math.]
[
Update: College Math CLEP (6 credits) counts as 2 courses below the level of Calculus. Three levels of math through ALEKS (9 LL credits) plus Statistics through ALEKS (3 UL credits) would be the least expensive way to complete a depth in Math.]
