I thought maybe it would be good to start a thread on what subject area is our strength and if someone else wants help on testing questions or our exam experience.Hopefully, we could be a resource for that person to turn to and get help. I would feel very comfortable in offering advice and insight on :
The two U.S. History courses and American Govt. and
The Clep business courses
Just holler if you need help.

Brian, I believe there are 120 natural science questions...60 biology and 60 natural science...so inorder to score a 50 to pass, does that mean 50 or 60 have to be answered correctly. Say , 50 and maybe I'll convince myself into believing I could actually pass this test!!
Praying for a miracle....

First I would like to thank you for starting this tread, it was really needed. I am new to this forum and unfortunately have not got any CLEP test yet. I have over 70 credit hours from local college transferred to EC and about 20 from Microsoft; I need to take 8 hours in Social Science to graduate. Once I take the test I will come on this forum and leave feedback regarding test. I suppose to take Social Science & History on Tuesday but I think I am not ready for it. I took 2 Peterson's test prep and got 33% but I have heard that they are far from real test. Now I ask those who took this test,
A) is this test easier than Petersonâs test prep?
B) As it has been categorized by History, economy, sociology, and more, when it says 10% sociology do we really see about 10 to 11 questions on exam? And are the questions mixed or they are grouped by categories?
C) Are the questions in short phrase or long? And is the time OK or we run short in test time.
D) One last question, I know if I want to change exam date and time must be 2 days ahead, since had weekend and memorial day I have to cancel it tomorrow and re schedule it for another time, on University of Houston website were I am going to take the test says canceling within less than 2 days you will loose all the fees, I know I will loose $20 test center fee, What about $60 CLEP fee do i loose that one too?
Sorry if it become such a long one but I think some one else may benefit from this questions.
Thank you All

will be BSCSIS graduate from EC if I take 8 hours Clep

AS I MENTIONED IN PRIOR POSTS..I TOOK THE SCIENCE AND HISTORY TEST WITHOUT ANY PREP WHATSOEVER. FOR ME TO SAY YOU COULD DO THE SAME THING WOULD BE AN UNFAIR ASSUMPTION. I LOVE HISTORY, CURRENT AFFAIRS,SOME GEOGRAPHY AND WRITING, SO ALOT OF WHAT WAS ON THE TEST WAS TAILORED MADE FOR MY INTEREST LEVELS,WHICH MAY NOT BE THE CASE FOR YOURSELF. I WOULD HAVE FOUND THIS A TOUGH TEST TO STUDY FOR IN LIGHT OF ITS' EXPANSIVE QUESTION BASE. I'D ENCOURAGE YOU TO NOT PUT ALOT OF PRESSURE ON YOURSELF ABOUT THIS TEST IF FOR NO OTHER REASON THAN PSYCHING YOURSELF OUT ON THIS YOUR FIRST CLEP TEST. I TOOK THIS TEST 4 MONTHS AGO SO IAM RUSTY ON THE INFO OTHERS CAN PROBABLY DO A BETTER JOB OF SHARING WITH YOU. MOST OF ALL I WANTED TO ENCOURAGE YOU AS TO THE FACT THAT THIS TEST IS VERY DOABLE AND I BELIEVE YOU CAN AND WILL DO IT!! ENJOY THE CHALLENGE..GET THE PASSING GRADE AND PUSH ON TOWARDS YOUR GOAL. GLAD TO HAVE YOU WITH US!!
REGARDS,RON

Ray,
I took two DSST tests at the University of Houston a few weeks ago, and I had to reschedule it from the original date I had set up. Even though the University's website said there would be a fee for this, there was no fee. So I'm thinking they may be more flexible on this than you think, especially since the regular school year is now over.
Call the testing center on Tuesday (713) 743-5444 and see what they can do. Maybe they will be willing to work with you on this.
Good luck!

Brian, I haven't done much algebra for many years now but I used to be okay at it. I would be happy to try and help if I can and I am sure that there are others who could help too. Did you see that great step by step explanation of a finace problem that JoAnn helped Snazzlefrag with?
If you hit some problems that just don't work out feel free to send me a PM or put one up on the forum.

For me, trying to figure out Algebra is like trying to figure out Japanese! It's all foreign.
My eyes see:
3x + 2y - 6z / ((2x + 3xy - 6xz) * (3yx + 1xz - 5x))
But my brain sees:
kjkljkl + stgious - sfggs / ((^&@# + iodf - $&#%^#) * (sdfh + xvc - yuiyus))
Seriously, I'd feel more confident taking CLEP College Japanese than CLEP College Algebra.
hilarious
Sayonara,
Snazzlefrag
