I took my midterm for the business policy course over 3 weeks ago and just got my grade back, a 62:mad:! I have really been doing well in the class prior to the test with straight 100's on all papers and discussion forums. The mentor has not been helpful at all and takes forever to grade anything. The midterm was all multiple choice and as I was taking it I kept track of how many I was sure that were right, how may were 50/50 and how many I had no clue. Out of 50 questions I thought I knew 40 and only guessed on 1. Should I challenge the grade and if so how would I do it? Does anybody else have any experience with this? Thanks for all your help, you guys are awesome!

How hard is this going to hit your "A" grade? If you were averaging 100's, you still might be above 92%- if that's the case I would probably not waste the effort necessary. Can you live with an A-? That's your call.
I have to tell ya, I have had excellent grades- except for biology. It just was awful. I did, however, manage to earn straight 100's on everything except my exams. (shamefully, I scored 76 and 67 on those) I ended up with a solid B. I am just suggesting that sometimes the overall impact of the grade might not be too terribly effected by a lousy score now and then if the rest of your work is solid. Keep in mind that even if you fight it, it still might not change, so do the math before you go to battle.

I got all As in statistics and got a big fat F on the final, I was just glad it was over. I did not dispute it or even question it, I walked away and I never looked back.
