Most Affordable Online PhD in CompSci or Cybersecurity
#21
Wow, that's amazing! I would have thought their program would be at least a little harder than that... even for the more experienced crowd... Congrats! Most people can finish within 7 weeks to three/four or even five months and that's already pretty speedy... Just mind blowing how you went that fast!

Thanks, it was about 140 pages over those 7 days and one proctored test. I was able to transfer in all available courses which left only 5 left, including the capstone. The Bachelor's from them was a similar situation with around 12 classes and a capstone completed in around 40 days.

South College is launching a new Information Technology specialty area in their CBE DBA. Might work for you.

The current catalog entry for the DBA has been updated to include the IT specialty.

I apologize for the question, but do you have a link? I searched but can't find this new speciality.

On the catalog page I linked

https://catalog.south.edu/preview_progra...&poid=1360

there is a paragraph describing the Information Technology specialty, and the Curriculum section includes course descriptions for the specialty area. It's interspersed with discussion of the DBA in general and the other specialty options. That's the most I know of right now.

Thanks for the link, I'll look more into this option.

South College DBA has been mentioned before, they recently added the IT Specialty, this Concentration or Specialty seems to be 3 classes out of the 10, 7 of those are the core it seems. Some people were able to complete the degree within or less than 2 years, I've kept this program on my radar and it's high on my list of programs that interest me as it's the DBA option with an IT focus for about the same price as the Nationally Accredited Apollos DBA IT.

It seems pretty good for an option. I'd be curious as to what sort of workload to expect with it being CBE.
