NationsUniversity ACE Credit
#11
Wow I think this NA vs RA thing is ridiculous because the NA for profit schools are cheaper than the non-profit RA schools. Look at Grantham, they have the cheapest fully online ABET accredited program. Compared to the tution TESU or Excelsior charges it is ridiculous.

Also think of UoP and NationsUniversity they are NA and very low cost, and in my case NationsU is free. I am yet to find any non-profit RA school to offer anything similar.

It all comes down to what are you going to do with the schooling?  If you plan to stick it out and graduate, go for it.

If you plan to take a few classes and transfer, you maybe out of luck, it all depends.  Some schools don't even consider NA credits.

Nothing is made easy, if it were easy, a system that allowed you take classes anywhere and always accepted, IMO most colleges would have to cut tuition to the community college level.  Why pay for Flagship University, when you could take online community college classes and be guaranteed transfer credit (it will never happen)

Grantham only has one program in ABET,

Yeah I get what you're saying. I was looking at AMU bachelors in religion as a possible target...but I dont know yet. I'll just keep doing courses till I get tired I guess. I want thre degree from NationsU but to few gen ed.

Haha such a sytem does exist at least in theory 'take credits anywhere and always accepted' I think that is the premise of the Big 3 model.

Yes its that program I was talking about. Thr cheapest fully online ABET accredited program, singular.

Sort of, if you are wise, you get the classes pre-approved before you take them; otherwise the credits could end up as general electives and not go towards you degree plan (assuming you have excess general electives).

Kinda wish https://www.transferology.com/ was a requirement for schools to get federal funding (or something similar).

Can you image if all schools were required to input all classes.

Liberty University takes NA credits and many from NationsU if that helps. It's so cheap that it wouldn't hurt to get the degree there and still get another degree at an RA school if you have the time. They may not take ACE but the Gen Ed portion counts for such a small portion of the courses that I don't think you'll save much time or money anyway. I'll have to look it up, but for the Master's program there are a couple RA schools who will take their credits as transfer.

I would guess in the neighborhood  of half of them.  Just apply - don't start asking them silly questions about acceptance of Nationally Accredited schools or they will likely create a negative policy just for you.

Half of graduates schools accept NA undergrad degrees? That’s a pretty generous estimate.

This blanket statement is inaccurate. Many DEAC schools are cheap, but for-profit schools accredited by ACICS and ACCSC tend to be more expensive than RA public schools and even many private, non-profit schools. A bachelor's degree at ITT Tech almost cost $100k. An associate's degree at the NA for-profit I taught at was $28k. I've also seen many schools with NA religious accreditation that are more expensive than RA schools.

There are RA schools that are free, but you have to attend on campus. University of the People and Nations University are only NA because they're relatively new, and national accreditation is quicker to attain. I think I heard that University of the People will be working toward RA.
