New CBE Accelerated MBA from UMass Global

Did the Facebook group get closed? I applied to join but now I can't find it.  Can't imagine any reason I would have been banned.

Quite surprisingly, this application didn't ask at all about my employment history, or even for a referral.  I thought that was strange for a graduate program, and especially for an MBA.  Do they ask for this as needed, or is it all based on past grades?

UMass Global has open admissions. They don't request references, employment history or a GMAT score. I have a high GPA, but they appear flexible on that as well.

I posted the short list of approved employers, but they appear to have allowed others to be admitted to the program. If you have any problem, send me a message and I will provide you with an email to the head of the program, who has authorized other nonaffiliated applicants to be admitted.

You can apply, the pilot program is still taking new applicants (without employer sponsorship) at this time.  Most of the people I have seen apply, have done so without any employer affiliation.

There is a UMass school-administrated FB group, that a few of us have applied to, and never heard back from anyone.

However, this is the FB group I recommend, it is the UMASS Global AI Supported MBA Discussion Group and had a lot of new information added to it this morning.

Monday Update 
Timeline & First Impressions

Timeline:
I was accepted on August 5th, and today I had my formal call with my Academic Coach. Scheduling was easy, you get an appointment link, pick from the available time slots, and choose between phone or Zoom. Sessions are 15 or 30 minutes, but ours went almost 40 minutes and was very informative.

Impression:
My Academic Coach was extremely knowledgeable and explained the program down to the smallest details. He answered every question, and for one question outside the program arena, he immediately introduced me to the right person after our call and connected us. Very efficient and professional. While last week I felt a little lost with all the information/emails, after the call today I am now organized and on the same page, confident, and ready to dive into the program!

Program Notes:

[*]Expect work: not 2 milestones per course as originally mentioned to me, but 9–12 milestones plus a Final.
[*]Professors accept the FA from each student (and with feedback/updates as needed) until competency is fully achieved.

Yeah it's super weird, but they seemed to have blocked me from the Facebook page just for submitting an application. I can see the page if I'm not logged in, but I can't see it if I am logged in. Super weird for them to just be banning/blocking random people.

I emailed my Academic Coach today to find out what was up with the Official UMass Global MyPath FB Group, as some students and I are still waiting for approval.  There was a short form you had to complete, and I listed my student email to ensure they knew I was an incoming student. It's been about 7-10 days that the requests for some of us are still pending.  If I find out anything, will update here.

I sent my application 2 days ago, I got an email today asking me for transcript copies and a FEC assessment. Luckily, I did a FEC with WES few years ago and just submitted a copy of that through WES to UMG admissions today.
This is a very interesting program, there is another UMG MBA program for Asia/Pacific region provided through Emeritus, seems to be targeting residents of specific countries. The MBA is priced at 8650$ and it’s an18 months program.

Application is due tomorrow! Wow, I wonder if you can use a VPN for Canada or Mexico and have it work? At under 9K, that's a pretty good deal.
