So I know we are all waiting for some of the new courses to be approved in Psychology and Accounting, but I was looking at the ACE database today and noticed two new courses for sure and possibly others. Spanish 101 Beginning and 102 Intermediate are now ACE-approved but the 102 is currently only 2 credits. I am also pretty sure the 301 Marketing course is new and there is an Accounting 303 course. Also looks like a new Sociology course. I'm not 100% positive on all of these, but maybe someone can check out the database and notice some other new ones. The TESU transfer page hasn't been updated in quite a while so that's not much help as of now.

Yes, 9 new courses were added as of 2/1 or 3/1 (backdated):

ACC 303: Cost Accounting (ACC-303 at TESU), UL per ACE

HOSP 301: Hospitality Marketing (not sure at TESU), UL per ACE - works in Marketing AOS

MAR 301: Marketing Research (should come in as MAR-411), LL per ACE - required course for Marketing degree

SPA 101: Beginning Spanish (SPA-101 at TESU)
SPA 102: Intermediate Spanish (SPA-102 at TESU), 2cr

MAT 97: Intro to Mathematical Reasoning (not sure if TESU will consider this college-level math or not, 2cr)

HEA 103: Medical Terminology (will come in as Free Elective at TESU)

SOC 103: Foundations of Gerontology (may come in as SOC-315)

EDU 106: Intro to Early Childhood Education (not sure of course number) - puts the EDU courses to 5, which is enough for a "concentration" in the BSPS

I like how Study.com still went with Cost Accounting, when they reached out and asked me what they might want to add I told them Upper Level Accounting and Intermediate Accounting I/II. Accounting Majors needed only 1 more UL course and Intermediate Accounting II and they could have completed the degree via SL/Study.com. Now with them adding Cost Accounting its just another place to get Cost Accounting. I really hope to see them add that one more UL Accounting Course but at this point it will be AFTER I am all done.

I mean Kudos to Study.com for making Study.com a one stop shop once they get both Intermediate Accounting courses approved. I'd really like to see them try and add courses that assist us in completing degree Area of Studys or core areas and not more General Education courses.

It takes forever to get these things approved, it seems, so it's possible your suggestion is still in the works.

I'd been begging them for Employment Law, which they did get approved, but only for 2 credits. I wish my son could have knocked that course out prior to enrolling at WGU, but knowing how long it takes, I imagine it won't be bumped up to 3 for several more months - and he's ready to get going with WGU.

I remember they got Public Speaking bumped from 2 credits to 3 credits rather quickly so having the course already approved possibly speeds it up.

Is he certain that they won't accept the course at WGU? I mean, if he is using Study.com anyway to take some courses for Gen Ed, it certainly couldn't hurt to take the course and try to get credit for it. Then, if WGU accepts it, he's done. If they don't, he probably will be ¾ of the way through their course, and can quickly test out/get through it.

They confirmed they will not accept it. They are very particular about these things. I'd suggested to my son he go ahead and do the current course and then wait a few months to see if it gets bumped up, but he told me he wants to start WGU June 1 so he can be done by December - if it was me I'd wait a bit, but ah well.

I'd at least take it, since he's not going to take the final exam, then it won't cost him anything (I'm assuming he already has a membership).
