No didn't receive credits for Google IT Support Professional Certification
#11
I completed this course at the end of Nov last year. TESU did accept the ACE credit as others are saying, albeit for 3 credits not the full 12 that ACE gives. It came in as CMP-202
Foundation of Info. Tech. on my eval. I know there's been issues before with TESU regarding total credits applied and UL/LL changes that don't match ACE recommendations, but I think they've made a mistake here if they say it hasn't been ACE approved.

I just checked the ACE National guide and it's definitely still approved. Course is ACE ID: GOOG-0001 and it's date range for approved credit is 9/1/2019 - 8/21/2022, so it hasn't expired.

I'd definitely double check with TESU as this doesn't seem right.

TESU corrected and I received 3 credits from the course, CMP-202. Thanks.

I am thinking about pursing the CIS BSBA degree, what should my CIS Electives 12 SH UL courses be? Upon reviewing, I have the following:

[*]Business 303: Management Information Systems -> CIS-301 Management Information Systems

[*]Computer Science 302: Systems Analysis & Design -> CIS-320 System Analysis & Design I

[*]Computer Science 303: Database Management -> CIS-311 Database Management

[*]Now need one more class to complete my required 12 credits. Reviewing https://degreeforum.miraheze.org/wiki/Sa...egree_Plan
[*]I came across Digital Marketing, but it's a Marketing UL course as follows:

[*]Business 309: Digital Marketing & Advertising -> MAR-441 Marketing with Digital and Social Media

[*]What class should be done?

The sample plan is correct. I don't know why they accept marketing for a BSBA CIS but they do.

I'm guessing it's the "digital" part of it.

I could see why Digital Marketing made it into a Business Degree with a CIS concentration. I found SDC's core marketing course to be very independent of technology and was focused on all the major concepts of 'classic' marketing. For the Digital Marketing class, I found it has a big focus on smartphones/computer/the internet as 'the market'. Online/automated metrics, online ad campaigns, etc... were the core portion of the course. Not a CS course, but I could see the case being made for it to fall into a business degree with a computer concentration.

Again, above is just my opinion, so others may feel different, that's just my two sense.

That makes sense! "Marketing" just feels so random but, if they're focusing on the "digital" part then I can understand.
