Great testing site! Just had to give them props on this board for making our first CLEP experience so positive. The building was easy to find with plenty of parking. It's a beautiful yellow "house" that looks like it came right off the East Coast--appears freshly restored with a gorgeous interior/exterior. Their website for CLEP registration was easy to follow and the staff available by phone to confirm your preferred day and time was available. The staff, Denise and Angelina (?), were very helpful with our nervous 8th grade students. We called them several times in the days before the test to ask questions and they were always very kind.
There are four private testing rooms, each with their own computer. Test takers had small lockers available for valuables and cell phones. There was a lobby for us to wait in and plenty of restaurants and a Starbucks nearby. The only glitch was the noise level in some rooms--I guess the walls are "thin" and sometimes test takers can hear people talking in the hallway or in the nearby staff room. Denise seemed very aware of that though (she was the one who mentioned it) and tried to place our students in rooms that were not bordering the hallway. We came early in the morning so the hallway was pretty quiet. Only one of our students said she heard people talking during her exam but it didn't really bother her. Our adult test taker brought ear plugs just in case but she didn't need them. Although she came away with a packet of info about the university--she was that impressed with their building, staff and programs! Overall, a great experience and we will definitely use them again when we CLEP.
