What does this class transfer over to TESC as?

Did you do it? I was going to advise not to do this class with Penn Foster. My friend is doing it and the book came fine, online exams went fine, project went fine but they absolutely refuse to send the final exam to the proctor. The proctor is a local college which they said was fine. It's been a MONTH! He keeps calling and getting the run around ... call this person call that person yes we'll send it out but it never gets sent out. He can't figure out what's going on and neither can I. If anyone has any advice let me know so I can help him out, otherwise I'm here to warn others to stay away from Penn Foster. You pay that money and do all that work only to have them drag their heels on the protored exam. It sucks.

I think your friend is taking a different class. I am taking the course now and there is NO proctored final exam.
Requirements are: 4 Exams 1 Project, 4 Discussion boards, and 3 Webinars. No proctored exam.

Do they have more than one Strategic Management class? It was during one of the webinars the instructor said there would be a proctored final. The book for this class was Crafting and Executing Strategy. You'd think if there were no final, he would have been told about it by now instead of constantly getting the run around.

I would have your friend email Niki Follis (nikki.follis@pennfoster.edu) about this, because there is no proctored exam for this course. I started my course on 25 April 2012, and I have no remaining requirements other than the final Webinar. The Webinar instructor might have been doing multiple webinars at once and mistakenly put the proctoring requirement on the wrong one. I think this is just a case of miscommunication. Hopefully your friend can resolve the issue.

No proctored exam on Strategic Management BUS425.

Started 3/15/13, finished 5/13/13 only because I took my time and the webinars take 3 weeks.

Highly recommend this course. Anyone considering Penn Foster should read more threads than take someone's advice who clearly didn't read the course syllabus. Penn Foster ACE evaluated courses are the next best thing to CLEP/DSST.

We read the syllabus there's nothing on there that states no proctored exam (nothing that says there is one either). Like I said, he was told by the instructor during one of the webinars that there would be one. Then no one bothered to tell him there wasn't one (including the instructor) while giving him the run around about getting it. It was very disorganized and annoying.

In the end he did get credit posted for the class. However, now the ACE site will not accept his student ID and even though he has tried to contact them (ACE) about it, they keep sending the same canned email over and over with instructions that don't work. So we have no idea how to get it posted over to ACE. If anyone has any ideas I'd love to hear them.

I just completed my Webinars so that completed my course. The instructor is very user friendly. She even offered an option to the Webinars, which was to write a 2 page APA format topic related to the course in place of each webinar. So if you want to skip a webinar then you need to write a paper. I would of course suggest getting permission before doing this.
