Has anyone had any experience with these? A friend of mine had mentioned them and they have a pass your test guaranteed or your money back. Thanks ahead of time.

I used one briefly for DSST Statistics, but it was not very helpful for that particular exam, but other than that I have not used the Pass Your Class study guides for my other DSST's.

I have a lot of these, but here's the thing, why use a source that isn't tried and true? IC and REA are really all you need. What's the point of using anything else?

I generally find them thin on content, heavy on grammatical errors (no editing done at all), and generally not sufficient to be used as an only source. If you can get them free at your local library, I would use them as a quick refresher a day before the exam (since they are usually very quick reads), but I personally wouldn't make any monetary investment in them besides the gas to drive to the library.

PrLoko-isms Don't waste time by trying to save time. The only sure way to complete your degree is to knock out credits quickly and efficiently. Don't let easiness bite you in the rear. Know your endgame (where you want to be) and plan backward from there. Your education is a means to an end. Be honest professionally, socially and academically. There are people (especially little ones) who look up to you and they're going by your example. Be proud. Whether you're an Engineer or Fast Food worker, there is honor and dignity in hard work. Picking on people weaker than you only proves that you are a weak person.

I have used several of these, and I dont like em. If I had to estimate their effectiveness, it would be around 30%. They are a quick read, not nearly enough to get you through. They are like a high level overview of what you need. So, like many others have said REA and IC are the preferred methods. In all cases I have used them as part of a larger program, and probably spent little time on them. An idea of how they fluff up their content, is to include the entire constitution and whatnot in US History 1. They seem to do that a lot, include or reprint other material.
Fun times are tests like Astronomy, where there are no Peterson's tests or clear study books except textbooks. If you do enough of these though, you will get confidence even in those.

I've used a couple of them and found them to be...okay. They're not bad but IC is cheaper and you can usually find better resources for free at sites like Free-Clep-Prep.com or Khan Academy. The ones I bought was before I really knew about these other sites or was very nervous about the exam. Looking back now I'd say it's better to save the 40 bucks for each of their guides and use the other resources out there.
